What is WEPC?

Who's in WEPC?

Welcome to the World Education Planting Center (WEPC), established to create book and reading programs. We set up books like classic Bible readers and authentic picture books, along with engaging programs, for learning centers serving children aged 4 to 14. Our mission is to build a 'storytelling community,' nurture a healthy self-identity, and promote English literacy, preparing children to grow into well-rounded and future-ready individuals.

The World Education Planting Center (WEPC) is dedicated to:

  • Creating classrooms where children, often exposed to excessive screen time, can engage with big books and experience a storytelling community that connects the head and heart.

  • Offering quality books and reading programs designed to cultivate "children who grow in knowledge and thought."

  • Providing systematic literacy programs to help children become confident readers of English books.

Representative of WEPC

As the representative of WEPC, I feel great fulfillment and joy in being able to start education planting. My goal is to plant seeds that will grow for the future, focusing not just on buildings, but on the children learning and growing inside them. I will give my best to this work for as long as I can.

I started this ministry was that I discovered that hardworking church and school ministers were facing educational limitations and needed content. This led me to start a ministry that provides content to support educational programs. Thanks to those who have joined this educational mission, we have successfully established over 45 schools in Indonesia within just a few months. Now, we are dedicating all our efforts to providing content to next-generation care ministries and schools founded by Koreans around the world, extending beyond Indonesia.

The support needed for mission fields varies depending on the local situation.
However, one strategy stands out as essential everywhere: language education (English) missions.

In this context, the partnership between SeongAn Methodist Church's mission team (led by Pastor Jang Hakbong) and Joanne English (led by the representative of Joanne Lee) has produced amazing results.

It shows how powerful English education missions can be. The WEPC mission strategy is a wise approach that achieves two goals at once:

teaching English and sharing the Bible's message. Doors will soon open, and the results will speak for themselves. Success is coming.

Let’s give a big hand to Pastor Jang Hakbong and Joanne Lee for their dedication to spreading God’s love and the culture of Christ through English education in these important times. Maranatha!
